Intel wireless ac3160 problems?

so my wireless card in my brand new laptop is a pain in the ass, it wont load up ltt on my desk but when i put the laptop in my lap and turn my chair 30 degrees it plays 1080p video just fine. is there a fix to this? i have installed the latest drivers from intel's website.

RMA the wireless card? If you make changes to the card physically, it means that there might be something wrong with the card. 

Also, does other devices work fine in the location?

You can always try moving your router's location.

Are you running on a low signal strength?

Due to reflection and the interference, you can have almost dead spots in the room with very littly signals.

Put the laptop on an other place and turn it 360° while measuring the link speed and signal strength. If it dropps dramaticly, it's your card, otherwise it's the signal progagation.l
