I plan to build my own case from scratch and I need some front I/O whether its premade or a good method of making my own. I'm fairly new so treat me as that I don't know anything at all, I don't want to miss any little details.

Try getting case parts I know Corsair has them you can take them apart and use what you like from them:

CoolerMaster also has front I/O panels for sale from their store: http://www.cmstore-usa.com/cases/

Power and reset buttons can be any momentary switch you can find, LEDs are pretty standard as well, which just leaves you with USB which I think the easiest way is either buying a front I/O panel, or tearing apart an old case. The most important part about the USB is to find one that is laid out in a way that you can easily attach it to your case, and will entirely depend on the case design.
