So anyways, I've got a budget of approximately 1300 NZD and I'm looking to get the best gaming and multimedia PC I can for the money. My parents don't exactly trust me to build it myself, so I'll also have to pay PB Tech, a local tech store to build it for me.

This is the list I've come up with so far, would like to include an SSD to install the OS to, but the budget won't really allow it. If anybody knows of components that have similar performance and lower cost. I'd be open to suggestions. Also, do these components make sense? No possibility of bottlenecking or other problems? I'm fairly tech savvy but I've never built a PC before, so I would really appreciate help from any veterans here!

Thanks in advance!

Good build for the money, no monitor/keyboard/mouse in the link though? Just a side note, I recommend going for Windows 10 directly or upgrade it from windows 7, dx12 will be good for gaming starting this year with all the new games supporting it

Try a SSHD from Seagate its your normal HDD but with 8GB of SSD cache. Don't get me wrong nothing can beat a proper SSD but I've got a 1tb SSHD on my laptop and its pretty good performance wise, read and write should be better for the 3.5" version. It won't cost much more. It should give you a performance boost in the applications you use the most

I would personally say to try convince them to let you build it yourself. All computer's are is big lego pieces which slot together.

Overall seem's a solid build for your budget and you've chosen parts well.
