Hey guys! I need help OC'ing my 970. Few months ago I had a Sapphire HD 7950 Dual-X OC, OC'd to 1100MHz, so, how much should I OC my GPU to have significant improvements? And by how much should I up the voltage everytime?

step by step, dont rush anything and dont play with voltage untill you get to your first unstabile OC

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Sometimes, Valley Benchmark doesn't crash but gives me a black screen and then continues like nothing, is it unstable?

If the behaviour is not desirable e.g. black screen, it's probably unstable, but the real test lies with actual gameplay. Any undesirable effects, you know what to do

Weird, even with +87 mv I can't reach stable +170MHz... While on  stock +150 gives no problem.

OK now I achieved these settings: http://prntscr.com/8j4alx totally stable, sorry if I didn't edit previous posts but it didn't let me.

Maybe edit settings in bios. Some Maxwell cards don't like setting editing in software.
