what should my minimum specs be for a server used between alot of people, literally only used for data sharing so everyone can use the same files stored at one place. are these good specs.

I don't know much about servers but that seems very overkill, a low end CPU, 8GB's of RAM, and some storage will more than likely do. Also how many people is many people?

I would save a few hundred dollars and use FreeNAS or another Linux distro instead of Windows Server. You also wont need AntiVirus. If you are worried i know ClamAV works on Linux, but I have not tested it.

Unless you need to use Active Directory, I find it is much easier to avoid Windows Server.

 

I would also predict your maximum storage requirements now. You cannot add drives to an existing RAID array, so it is best to do all that now.

 

Aside from that, everything seems to be just fine.
