So i secure erased my ssd (256gb 850 pro) and i installed windows later.

during windows screen where you format the disk, i didnt have the option to format it again only to move on to the next step.

Should my head be safe only with the secure erase thing? (if any malicious software were in the drive before, data fully erased)
will that cause problems with the windows installation?

will that cause problems with the windows installation? Unlikely, but based on my previous comment it seems like you erased the logical partition, so technically there could be some nasty code in the partition table.... however, f i thought you where in danger, i'd also like tin foil hats. you'll be fine.

~snip~

Hey there NetifxSixteen,

According to the manufacturer's website, performing a "Secure Erase" should bring the drive to the factory default state and completely wipe all data from it:

I'd go on with the installation process and see how the system behaves after all the updates and settings. You should be fine. :)

So that Samsung Secure Erase doesnt make the drive like new?

not sure, it most likey did make a new partition after it ran, based on the observed behaviour.

All secure erase means, is to fill the drive with 0's. normally not somthing you do to a SSD as it will wear it out quicker (dosn't really matter though, unless you erased it a few hundred times). for re-installing an OS, just removing the partition map is fine.
