How bad is MW2 multiplayer as of 2015

Modern Warfare 2 is now on sale on steam for 9.99 and I'd like to know how the multiplayer is right now. I always see warnings from reviews for the game saying their are hackers everywhere but I'd like to know if that's really true. If their are hackers is their anyway to avoid them so you can play?

Dunno about PC and how hacked it is because I play on console(it's pretty bad for console) but only way to complete avoid hackers is to have a pull host mod

It's pretty hardcore hacked. It's harder for me to get into servers/games/host for some reason.

If only VAC worked and their were dedicated servers...

Apparently MW3 has dedicated servers but, it's not the same as mw2 :(

MW2 servers are pretty bad, most of them are hacked that rank you up to max directly and there are to many hackers

yeah I guess im not going to get mw2. It's a shame the maps in that game were amazing compared to any other maps in cod franchise. I'd say the second best maps were in black ops II with the skatepark and other shit like that. It's a shame really :/

 

But hey, I heard lego worlds is on sale for 10.49 lol

Dont drop 10 bucks on a 6 yr old game which has lots of hacked servers now anyway

I dont encounter that many hackers anymore, compared to a year ago or so. But I do have problems with connection being below par most of the times.

My ping gets too high to play good lately.

That and the enemies are basically a.i. meaning they mostly all have the same class and mindlessly camp/tube their asses off. There is no actual skill involved (big surprise)

Pretty much every match is the same for me.

 

This from someone who lives in western-europe and plays mw2 since 2010 and has +2200 hours on mw2 mp.

last time i played it on pc, was a year ago. short story: peapol were oneshotting me from across the map With pistols and there were random Objects spawning all over the Place...... NOT GOOD!

When I bought it on pc a year ago, after 2 games I was lvl 70. Lol
