What Is Winetricks?

When installing a Windows game through wine do you need to check every box underneath where it says "winetricks"?

Winetricks are scripts that help with some settings games need. Or thats what I think they are. Only used once with Hearthstone and then I was following guide.

Try using playonlinux, it will select the optimal settings for the given software.
