There was no sub-forum for help with PC Building so I assumed that this belonged in just the general help section (since this is my first time using these forums).

I'm in the process of looking buy / build myself a new PC this coming Monday, with a budget of £1,000. Unfortunately I have somewhat limited knowledge when it comes to building computers/good computer components. My new PC needs to be able to run intensive computer games smoothly while streaming, other than that I will frequently be editing videos/images and coding.

A somewhat educated (and extremely helpful) friend of mine has been helping me out and this is what he suggested, minus the keyboard and monitor:

I do need at least 1 more monitor, and a new keyboard with the £1,000 budget, and help is appreciated - thanks!

Okie, so would something this be okay? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-411-WD

What is the difference by the way colour-wise?

Thanks for the help and sorry for posting in the wrong section.

the main difference is the speed and life of them the Green has been knows for crapping out faster than the blue or black so from lowest to highest quality is Green, Blue, Red, Black or

Greens are for eco-oriented folks who want less power consumption

Blues are your standard vanilla drives

Reds are performance oriented drives that spin at variable rates

Blacks are for enthusiasts willing to shell out a premium

and yes the one you picked will be good

Thank you, so aside from that I can just order the parts and the build everything using that? :o

you can but you might want to wait for more people to chime in im not from europe so im not familiar with websites that have good deals or anything or the pricing so id just wait until a person who does comes along and can maybe save you money or get you better parts for the money. but its a good build.

but yes that's all the parts you need to make a fulling operating PC
