I have a simple idea, that i would know how to do, i just don't know of a wireless component to use.  I know that there are shields that I could use to get two arduino to communicate, but i want one arduino, to communicate with some receiver about 10 feet away, that opens and closes a simple LED circuit.

What should i use for the wireless communication between my arduino and a breadboard.

Thanks

I can help with programming and hardware.

Julian has some great arduino tutorials, and specifically some on cheap wireless communication: https://www.youtube.com/user/julius256

One option would be to look for a off the shelf add on board.

But if you already have a SD-card slot and you are intereded in a DIY solution you can use a WF111 modu, evalboard aviable on digikey (~150$):

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil
