Looks really good

Edit, is there a benefit to running 4 sticks of ram? Might save a few bucks by running two 8g sticks.

quad channel and duel channel has no difference and the cost of 4x4gb sticks is like 5 bucks more then canadian then 2x8 sticks

  1. cpu is great

cooling is overkill. an h60 will do just fine

i would get a cheaper motherboard. if you don't want sli compatibility, go with the Z170-P or the Z170 PRO GAMING

you only need 8gb of ram for gaming imo

ssd is great

hdd is great, but you can easily get away with a seagate 1tb or a caviar blue at 1tb

gigabyte 980 ti is good, just make sure it's NOT voltage locked so you can overclock it effectively

your psu is very expensive. you can get away with a 650-700w unit from evga. i'd recommend the EVGA 220-G2-0750-XR

What do u mean by making sure the 980ti g1 is not voltage locks

As for the mb i picked that one for the i may do sli later down the road

Also i am open to other 980ti i just picked the g1 as it was the cheapest at making the list

some graphics cards are voltage locked by the manufacturer for safety reasons i guess. it reduces your ability to overclock the card to its full potential by limiting the amount of core voltage you can increase to achieve a higher core clock. memory voltage may also be locked which will limit your ability to overclock the memory clock

search google for which 980 ti's are not voltage locked or ask the forum

edit:

if you want to SLI x2 980 ti's, you need more wattage. if you get the i5-6600k and x2 980 ti's, you need 900w so that you can overclock the gpus and the cpu

edit:

here are some good psu's:

EVGA 120-G1-1000-VR

or

EVGA 220-PS-1000-V1
