This build is inspired by my build, i am building it for a friend and i just want some feedback if there is something i am missing...

Will the psu handle haswell? not so sure on this subject.

get a 840 evo. Cheaper and faster. Everything else looks good ;)

Personal Build Project "Rained-On"

helped building up the CPU Overclocking Database and GPU Overclocking Database, check them out ;)

I would go with an extra 50w, making it a total of 600w psu, just so you can have room for the 7970 and overclocking it
if you plan on really overclocking the i5, you really want a 750w because it takes a ton to overclock some of the chips on haswell

It's not cheaper than the regular 840..

16GB ram is overkill for his needs. 8GB will be plenty.

Make the jump to a 600w psu for more overclocking headroom. As for Haswell-ready psus, all psus work fine. Haswell ready. just indicates that you can use the power saving feature in the bios.

I wouldn't go for that OCZ power supply, take something like a XFX Core Pro 550.

in norway it will take ages to get it and it will probably cost more.

okay yes, I was wrong, but it has a better price/performace ratio
