Do you want wired or wireless capability?

Wired means the lav will connected directly to the recording device (e.g. iPhone or Zoom H1).  Wireless means it will connect to a transmitter.

And do you know what type you want, cardioid or omni directional?

I saw a few people with these mics and they sounded good and i was wondering witch one should i get there are a lot of different once and I would like some help looking for 1

EDIT :

Budget $50-$100

wired or wireless

wireless needs to have a strong signal

You won't get a wireless system for $100.  So I recommend the Rode smartlav that will connect to an iOS or Android phone.

As for wireless signal strength, these things are not walkie talkies.  They are professional audio recording devices used in studio and close quarters environments.  30-50m range would be possible only in optimal conditions.
