Ahsan041

Is it worth getting the physical media of the pc game I want? I mean do I have to insert the disk everytime I want to play the game?

In the old days some games were like that. Now though, it is not.

World of Warcraft

Nope, just get it through battle.net's steam clone

Often games which come on physical media still need steam/origin/whatever to actually run, the only advantage is that you don't have to download it.

Disc checks for games are a thing of the past. When you buy a game on physical media today, it's going to use Steam/Origin/Uplay DRM in most cases. WoW will probably require Battle.net.

It's kind of pointless to buy physical discs today, as far as I'm concerned. You're still going to be downloading nearly everything, especially in the case of World of Warcraft. A full WoW install was over 30 GB last time I played three expansions ago.

Most games sold on DVDs are just predownloaded installer and activation code. Most can be redeemed on Steam, Origin or Battle.net. So should you buy physical copies? Yes, if you have bad connection or data cap. Yes, if physical copy is cheaper. Otherwise no.
