Bose AE2 Headphones Review

Henry

Hello, first review so uh...yea...

Comfort: 9.5/10

Does not get a 10/10 because when I first got it, the first week, after like an hour of wearing it, it got uncomfortable and was not great wearing for several hours. BUT, after the first week and it broke in, the ear cushions were better and was AMAZING for several hours of use, 10/10 after the first week, but overall, 9.5/10 because it had to be broken in.

Sound: 9/10

Nice bass, very clear (um and i dont know any other audio terms, im not an audio guy).

Compared to my old Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Alpha, it was a much better difference, but it is overpriced imo. It should be lowered to around $100. But I got it for around $100 due to some sale and some credit card thing sooo ya :)

Looks: 10/10

Looks nice when worn on your head. The sides of the cups are flat so when put on your head, it doesnt look super fat and huge, like my old Tactic 3D Alpha.

Price: 7/10

Not worth $150, $100 (The price I got it for because of credit card thing combined with new year sale) is reasonable.

Folding for LTT since April 2016.

Bose is always overpriced, sort of like the Razer of the audio world, that is, for the price you'd paid for a Bose, you can do better with other brands. Good attempt at a review, but coming from a Creative SB Tactic 3D Alpha (which is a gaming headset), even a Bose would sound better....

I knew that. I did my research. It was definitely not bad at all tho. Also the price of the purchase mentioned was the price my dad paid, its actually a gift for my sister but I use it all the time :)

Whats wrong with the Creative headset? It sounded pretty darn good for the price I got it for ($35)

Well there are only few noise canceling headphones as good as Bose.

Once in a while, they luck out, sorta like Razer with their Deathadder 2013 and BWU 2013......can't be making barely there products all the time. :P

At OP, nothing wrong with the Creative headset, but it is, after all, a low priced gaming headset....can't be compared in terms of sound quality to audio cans/headphones.

Thanks for the comments mate. I just looked it up and for what it looks it does seem a little overpriced.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Yea it is. If u can get it cheaper for maybe $100 (I did), it would be very reasonable pricing.

  • 2 weeks later...

Bose is one of those companies that makes awesome sound equipment. BUT, they charge an arm and a leg for it.

When we were shopping around for a new TV and possibly sound system, we came across a really nice Bose surround setup. The guy in the store turned it way up and you could clearly hear it across the store (probably 50-100m away) and it sounded amazing. All with these tiny little speakers. The only problem, is that it was about £3500. Now, I paid (overall) about £600 for my audio setup, and I'll bet it goes louder and I'll bet that it sounds just as good. But the speakers are way bigger.
