no performance

im not getting any good performance from alienware m18x im running cs go on max settings and my fps range 60-90 it spuose to be mych higher 
and while checking msi after burner my gpu clock speed should go up to 850 while i play games but its stuck at 400 (stock) and on amd ccc battery set to maximize performance so i dont get it i payed alot of money and im not geting anything btw i have the latest beta drivers 15.8 and my gpu is x2 7970m

How's the temperature? It could be thermal throttling.

Cool it down, either use laptop cooling pad, not playing it on surface that absorbs heat like bed, turn Air Conditioner on, etc.

i was charging my pc and playing and i was getting 250-300 fps

everything maxed out so whats the problem

thats pretty hot for a CPU (167 f)   sounds like thermal throttling 

 

That's why i don't buy laptops, they are not as good as their desktop counter parts, not even close.

75 c while gaming isnt hot max cpu temp is 90c so its good but why only when i connect the charger my laptop goes to maximum performance ?

its 100% a setting see if you can find any thing in your energy balance & saving settings.

maybe alien-ware has some of there owns shitty software that's doing this but its 100% a setting.
