Installing Intel Drivers

Go to solution Solved by techguru,

I connected an HDMI cable to the INTEL output, and I'm not getting any signal :/

in the bios change the default output to the integrated gpu

intel disables the onboard gpu if it detects another gpu

Can't install drivers for my Intel® HD graphics 4400.

This is a system with i3-4130 which has Intel® HD graphics 4400 as graphics.

But when I download the setup from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25274/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Production-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10

It just says my pc doesn't fulfill the minimum requirements. WTH!!!

- Windows 7 ultimate, GTX 460.

Device manager doesn't show the intel 4400 as a display driver either, only the 460.

you probably connected your display cable to your gtx 460

if you want to use the integrated graphics then you'll need to connect the display cable to your motherboard

Yeah I did.

But shouldn't I be able to install the drivers anyway?

Can I change the display DVI cable while the PC is running?

Why would you want to use integrated graphics if you have a GPU?

Just to have the drivers installed, and also save power. Since I might not do anything else than watch movies this whole weekend :D

i don tthink so

yes you can just unplug and plug to motherboard

Alright! Thank you!
