raid 0 two different ssd

After watching the

I was like I want to RAID 0 my SSD... 

Right now i have a Corsair Force Series 3 240GB... 

My question is can i get any other 240GB SSD or does it have to be the same Corsair Force Series 3 ???

most of the 
Corsair Force Series 3 are refurbished and not on sell... =/

You should be able to raid 2 different ssds but I wouldn't recommend it. The only improvement would be faster sequential reads/writes which aren't what makes a ssd feel snappy. What makes it feel fast is the random reads and the memory controller. Because of this, ssds in raid 0 may actually end up slower than a single one. The array is also more likely to fail than separate drives.

I thought that the ultimate build was... i'll just say I watched Singularity's upload right before..

 

Anyways.. Yes. It'd work. Also, refurbs are almost always fine.
