Hello, so I´m going to build a new machine and since I´m new, I have been reading a lot; so up until now I have picked these parts and would like some orientation on the rest; thanks as always.

Motherboard: ROG Maximus Vl Hero

CPU: Intel 4770k

CPU cooler Cooler Master Seidon 240mm

RAM:????

PSU:??

GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU ll

Case: Corssair Carbide Series 400R(not sure if everything will fit nicely in there)

Storage: Samsung 840 120Gb (I know it´s not enough, so I´m going to buy a HDD in the near future)

I don´t post a budget since I live in Mexico and prices sometimes change a lot; but I´m open to suggestions on any changes and specially on any compatibility issues. Oh right, I´m going to play on dual 1080p monitors games like BF3, rome toal war 2, far cry 3, metro LL.

Get 8GB of 1600MHz RAM

And I recommmend getting a 600-650W Seasonic, XFX or Corsair PSU

If the system is purely for gaming you migh want to consider getting a 4650k insted of the 4770K

Everything else look solid.

Is this build just for gaming?

What's your budget? Are you shopping local or online? If online, can you provide some links?

It's recommended you read this: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-reccomendations-please-read-before-posting/

Other questions: Do you plan to sli/crossfire? Preferred theme? Form factor? Is noise an issue?

i would change the motherboard to the MicroATX edition and get the 350D from Corsair. You'll save some money.

unless you do video editing i would get the 4670k over the i7.

for RAM, get this. you wont need 16GB but its nice to have. plus its on sale for pretty cheap.

PSU get the Cosair AX760

i hope this all fits your budget :p

ok, thank you all; my budget is around $2000 US but I could invest a little more if it is worth it; I´m buying at a local store; just for gaming, in the future I would be glad to add a second 780; no preferred theme or form factor and I do not particularly care for noise (doubt anything can be louder than my ps3).

Where do you mean by local? Does it have a large selection of parts or just the popular brands? Where are you located? (Roughly)

Are sites like Newegg and Amazon not an option?

Since this build is primarily for gaming, I would recommend that you get -

i5 4760k since gaming does not require a i7 processor.

The cheapest and nicest looking 8GB 1600MHz RAM kit you can find. 16GB of RAM is not needed, anything above 1600MHz is not needed either.

A high quality PSU from a reputable company such as Corsair or Seasonic - 650 - 750W is more than enough for this system, 750W will allow you to add in a second GTX 780 in the future.

Samsung 840 120GB SSD is a good choice for a SSD, mass storage will be needed, the seagate barracuda 1 - 2TB Hard drive is cheap and is as good as something from Western digital.

The MSI-Z87-G45 is just as good as the Asus Maximus VI Hero but is $100 cheaper.

CPU cooler is up to you but I would suggest the Swiftech H220.
