Hey guys. So I thought about getting rid of my old Samsung Syncmaster P2770HD (1920x1080, 27") and maybe buy the U2515H from Dell.

It's 25", 1440p and IPS. Yeah, I know only 60Hz. But I'm not playing FPS very often. I'm more into RPGs and such stuff. The U2515H would cost around 310€ with delivery included.

Can someone tell me if the monitor is worth it? How is the color reproduction? Is 1440p with 25" too much?

Edit: My system contains a 980 Ti and an 4690k. So getting playable framrates shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, personally I can't justify spending that amount on a mere two inches of size.

considering this instead: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-GW2765HT-LED--inch-Monitor/dp/B00M913DVG/ref=sr_1_7?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1441921936&sr=1-7&keywords=u2715h

I love mine. Offers higher pixel density than traditional 27" 1440p monitors and out-of-the-box color reproduction is very, very good.

ID is gorgeous with its remarkably thin bezel, too.

Any backlight bleeding, or other issues?

No bleeding on my specific monitor, but there is inherent glow from the panel (IPS).

Can't find the BL2420PT in google. And the GW2765HT costs around 430€. 25" inches aren't a problem for me. And I would save 130€ when going with the U2515H.

I've had mine since February (launch essentially) and I'd have to say the IPS glow on mine is barely noticeable. No back light bleed.

It comes factory calibrated with its own report sheet included in the box - 99% sRGB so the colour reproduction is excellent. The picture is crisp and clear.

I actually have tried it on FPS games (Titanfall, BF3) as well as other fast paced genres (Warframe, GTA V) and RPG types (Witcher 3, FFXIV, GW2) - it handled them all with aplomb. I've also watched a few Blu Rays on it - in case that was a consideration for you - and I enjoyed that experience.

The monitor is absolutely worth it, especially at that price range.

Alright. Thanks alot. Did you try to overclock the monitor? If so, how many Hz did you achieve?

I have one personally and love it. The colors are really nice. It made my old ViewSonic 1080p IPS monitor look green with a white background and I never had any huge complaints about it. I also love the resolution/size personally... I am comfortable about 20 inches away, although for certain things I will lean closer, such as facebook messaging since it's way down in the corner. As a college student, it's actually nicer than a 27 inch option IMO because it is a bit more portable and fits on a desk easier.
