Trying to install Steam but keeps getting the same error

Give this a read, take a close look at the graphics drivers section, and follow through the rest.

Sorry if this is the wrong place but i have just installd Linux Elementary OS Freya, downloaded everything but when it comes to steam i keep getting the same error the whole time, tryed all the commands i could find that is supposed to fix it.

yay, elementary OS derps again...

 

theres a command to fix this built into apt-get, but i'm too much of an archlinux fanboy to remember...

 

EDIT: you have graphics drivers installed right?

Thats another problem i have, dont know how to install the AMD drivers, tryed an hour ago but the computer chrashed so i hade to reinstall everything

The tutorial is from an older version, dont have the Additional Drivers plug

You should be able to install the drivers manually by following the instructions further down on the page.

Yeah, got them downloaded but it still didnt work but after typing "sudo apt-get install steam -y"

Can you confirm the drivers were installed correctly?

Didnt come any errors so i think they got installed correctly

Well, let's just try installing it then.

sudo apt-get install libglapi-mesa:i386

What happens when you open Steam?

It opens as it should and everything works
