can anyone shine some light on the cause?

Here's my "WhoCrashed" dump:

crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: Unknown (0xFFFFF80003EC55C0)
Bugcheck code: 0x101 (0x31, 0x0, 0xFFFFF880009EB180, 0x1)
Error: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
Bug check description: This indicates that an expected clock interrupt on a secondary processor, in a multi-processor system, was not received within the allocated interval.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This problem might be caused by a thermal issue.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error.
Google query: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT

watchdog usually happens with the CPU oc, try putting up your voltage

CPU: i5-4690k GPU: 280x Toxic PSU: Coolermaster V750 Motherboard: Z97X-SOC RAM: Ripjaws 1x8 1600mhz Case: Corsair 750D HDD: WD Blue 1TB

That's a classic sign of unstable cpu oc, my cpu didn't have a high enough voltage one time and although it past intelburntest for 20 min and played gta v without a hitch, when I got to skyrim it was randomly crashing due to the incorrect voltage, I bumped it up and it never bsod again, funny how some programs are more sensitive than others.
