Go for anything from TP-Link. They make excellent products.

I disagree with the "anything from TP-Link" and "anything from Cisco Linksys". A lot of their products are good but don't just blindly get something from the, just because of the sticker. Since you're looking at the AC66U I assume your budget is up to 200 dollars, correct?

Here are a few routers you might want to look into. Please note that you most likely won't get the benefit from 802.11ac for a few years, since barely any devices can use it right now (and if you got wireless N devices on the AC network then the AC devices will be throttled).

Linksys EA6300 (AC 1200) [~110 USD]

WD My Net N900 (includes a 1TB built in NAS) [~115USD]

WD My Net AC1300 [~120 USD]

NetGear R6200 (AC 1200) [~140USD]

Asus RT-AC66U [~190 USD]

Personally, I would either go for the WD My Net N900 (for the 1TB NAS), or the Linksys EA6300 (for wirelss AC).

I decided to go with the Amped Wireless RTA15. It seems to be really good and have amazing range, idk about the brand since I,be never heard of it.

When I first read the title, I thought you lost it and need help looking for it xD.

Anyway, I've used this router for a couple years and it's still alive and kicking!

It doesn't have any premium features like USB ports or gigabit ethernet ports, but I only use it to get internet connection to all the devices at home and does a perfect job at doing so.

The Asus ac66u is a great choice, which I would take myself. :)

Apart from that you could take a look at the Linksys ea6300, or maybe the d-link ac1750
