Looking for an affordable headset

I just found out recently that my friend has never had any form of quality headphones and his current pair broke, so he's just using apple earbuds. He breifly had one of those ebay mics to communicate but that failed overtime as well, and he went without using any communication.

So I thought to myself that it would be perfect to get him a gaming headset that is of decent quality for his birthday coming up.

The budget is 60-100$. I've already heard quite a lot of good things about the Hyper X cloud, so don't bother suggesting that, I'm already considering it.

One thing you will want to watch out for on the hyper x cloud is the cord. I had to replace my brothers cable because the whole thing died.

do you need a mic, or are you more into audio quality.

He's not particularly interested in superior audio quality, just something that will last and work for playing games and communicating

there really isnt much out there, krakens from razer are alright, but they are kind of uncomfortable, IMO the cloud or the cloud 2 are your best bets. If it were me I would buy this and save up for a mod mic or a blue snowball

Yeah I've owned the Krakens, they're horrible in my opinion and I sold them (Didn't realise my friend didn't have a good pair of headphones at the time). As for the modmic, I also have one and thinks it's quite useful. However, an all in one solution would be more desireable for his situation
