Hi, I'm new to here and PC Building. I Have selected some parts for my build, and PCPartPicker says it's all compatible, however I figured I should ask people about any potential bottlenecks or other issues with my build, or if you had any other suggestions or advice. I live in Australia and my budget is $800 AUD ($550 USD). It would be much appreciated if you could help.

Here is the build:

Intel Core i3-4340 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor

ASRock B85M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card

Deepcool TESSERACT BF ATX Mid Tower Case

EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

You might want to throw an SSD in there, but besides that, it looks pretty decent.

IMO If it were me, I'd wait and save that $32!!!!!

Silly not to... $32 for 2x extra cores... real ones :P

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Hi All,

Thanks for all the replies! I could never have expected such an overwhelming response and I will certainly take into account everything that you have said! It looks like I will be using Bigday's Build, with the 4460. Once again thanks a lot to everyone who replied it is much appreciated.

Just had a look at the details and have tried to use a variety of your suggestions to make an updated version of my build. Unfortunately for some reason I was unable to find a 4460 for the aforementioned $32 extra. It was closer to $100AUD more.

Moreover, since this is my first build and I am on a tight budget, the ideal features of NVIDIA cards aren't too important to me - hence the graphics card choice. Especially considering the r9 280's higher performance everywhere but pixel rate on GPUBOSS for $10 cheaper.

I also decided to get a ATX sized case - as I believe that will give me more room to build in even with the Micro-ATX board.

However, of course you are the experts, so any further advice?

Once again, cheers for the help, its much appreciated.
