Yes you did what that video.

There are no standardized methods to measuring response times for monitors. So you can get monitors with 1MS reponse times labeled on the box, when truly they arent.

Colours come from the Type of panel technology they are using. Most 120hz panels are using TN, this is due to the fact that this type of panel technology is far more eash to overlock the pixels to allow them to switch 120 times per second. However, TN does have horendous view angles and poor colour reproduction. IPS technology, which was invented by LG, Is alot better at colour reproduction than TN panels. IPS panels typically have amazing viewing angles, however, typically you will find them only available at a refresh rate of 60hz. If you were curious, PLS, is Samsung's implementation of LG's IPS technology.

My brother is a pro gamer (average KDR of over 4.5), and he prefers TN panels because they are actually faster, I personally like IPS better because it looks better, but the difference is very noticeable between 60Hz and 120Hz...

I wonder if OLED can make best of both worlds. maybe 2560x1440 120Hz OLED display...

What game?

Id say it all depends on what and how you play. I prefer better color depth as well. I got the PA246Q on launch and have never looked back at anything less than IPS.

Edit: I to prefer higher resolution when gaming but I really doubt id be able to max just about every game ive been playing like I am now.
