I cant really afford a 780 :( Sould I get the Gigabyte 770 4GB or save some money and get the Asus 770 2GB

Again, when the AMD HD 9970 comes out in October, the GTX 780's price will more than likely drop.

If you really cannot wait that long, get the Asus 770 2GB and do not waste your money.

I thought 2GB will bottleneck?

I thought 2GB will bottleneck?

If you cannot afford a better solution, 2GB is your only option.

Honestly, it will not be a noticeable bottleneck for quite a while. You should be fine if you turn off AA. That is one of the major things that uses up VRAM and at 1440p, you should be mostly fine without it. (Maybe x2 would be acceptable).

On current titles (depending the game and settings) maybe not. 2 years ago 1.5Gb of Vram was the highest reference spec. Within the the next couple of years, with the next gen consoles dictating game development, 2Gb Vram will bottle performance on 1440p for sure. So it depends how long you want to keep the card or if you're willing to make compromises to run new titles (which is what we all do within a couple of GPU generations after buying a high end card anyway).

For nVidia>You can try going 2x 760's or a single 770.

for AMD> You can try going 2x 7950 (due to a good price than 2x 7970) or wait for the new version coming in mid October.

I have 780 and I have to say that nVidia has been struggling with drivers lately. Now its slowly getting better. I play at most high/med, on all setting no MSAA and at 16X. Only ultra on mesh and texture. MSAA seems to hit hard on your card and pretty much increase heat. Just telling you from my personal experience. 780 sure as heck aren't easy on money I tell you.

Then what is Vitalius talking about?

Then what is Vitalius talking about?

I am saying that if you buy a GTX 770 4GB card, it will only be able to use 2.5GB of the VRAM effectively. It will be a waste of money.

What about PhysX? What does it even do?

PhysX overhauls very few games with particles too look better, if you have an Nvidia GPU and you dont know what PhysX is then you'll have no problem switching.

Answer: Naked f***ing Snake. (I said Solid until I looked at his avatar more closely. This is not nearly as awesome.)

'Murica /joke

As my friend from the hood would say: "is you crazay". Solid Snake wishes to be as awesome as Naked Snake. He wishes himself to be nearly as awesome as just the other snake's foreskin. You scum.

Did you just call AMD owners fascists ? do you realize what that makes you ?

It makes me a humanitarian. I fight for the rights of everyone, sometimes even to protect my enemies. As Jesus (aka the Illuminati) said: "Love your enemies".
