Audio crackling

I fixed the problem for somereason it was using my soundcard as a pass-through and it wasn't emitting sound from it. So i changed that and all my problems are solved :D Thank you guys

Hey guys so i have a problem. When ever i open a window up i get a crackling noise from my headset. I'm using the Astro A40's wireless mixamp, it's plugged in with optical in a Asus Xonar Dx sound card. Help please. :)

Cpu: 5820K @4.0GHz   Motherboard: Gigabyte X99-SLI    Ram: Patriot Signature 16GB @ 2133   GPU: Gigabyte G1 980  Soundcard: ASUS DX  


 Speakers: Logitech Z906 and Astro A40's   Keyboard: Logitech G510

I've seen someone with that same problem but it only crackled when he touched the volume controls on the headset cord. That was with the 2013 edition. Honestly I don't know what to say other than that except maybe just check that the optical cable is plugged in firmly.

It is plugged in properly. is there anyother reason why it would do this?

This just sounds like a bad pot to me, however OP's problem seems different. The fact that it only happens when you open a new window means it's definitely a software problem. Do you have the latest drivers?

I had the same problem for a while, I think I solved it under linux with a low latency kernel and on windows by using asio4all.

Will work for electronic components and parts
