Hello there everybody,

I have a couple of questions about Hackintoshing,

Q1. Is it legal to use OS X Yosemite on non-apple hardware?

Q2. Can i use a Titan X (gpu) or a 5960X (Cpu) or a 6700K (cpu) on a Hackintosh?

Q3. If the hardware above dosent work, what does???

Thank you and have a great day everyone!!!! :D

I don't know about the legality. But as far as hardware compatibility: http://www.tonymacx86.com/building-customac-buyers-guide-august-2015.html

I suggest using that site for the process.

I would Drop over to Insanelymac.com and have a rumage through the forums. Last Time I was there they where working on a solution for the 980 and HaswellE .

The latest Mac Pros are on X79 hardware base with firepro cards. I'd just drop over and have a look. Good crowd over there, just like here.

Two most common things that happen on unsupported hardware, The Kernal panics and spits out a reason why, or various screen issues for video hardware. tearing, negitave display etc.

I would sugest booting with the tags -v (verbose mode) -x or -s (one of those is safe mode, which will get over most issues to get to the UI)

If you read the EULA from apple, its stated that the software isn't allowed to run on anything other than apple products. But I'm pretty sure that If you purchase a legal copy, theres not much that they can do to you....
