Raid 0

Hi, I have an Lenovo T400 laptop. Yes it is old now with an intel core 2 duo. Moving on now, my issue is I have got an ultra bay from ebay which I put my spare ssd in thinking I could raid 0 with my other ssd in my laptop. I am using windows 8.1 and does not let me do it for some reason even though some software said it can do raid. I have tried bios but nothing showing about raid. If anyone can help then I thank you (:

You can do a software-based RAID 1 on pretty much any computer but RAID0 requires hardware support from the BIOS (or a dedicated controller, not really a laptop thing). I don't believe Lenovo T-series support HW raid, only the W-series do.

Oh hi thanks for the reply and oh I did read that many but don't raid 1 just mirror it over. Might be worth if for back up use though. Thanks
