I want to pick a new laptop that most of the time will be used just for browsing the web or streaming movies to the TV. But I also want it to be capable of some light gaming.

I am between the Lenovo G50-80 (i5 5200u,4GB ram,1Tb,Hd 5500 graphics for 400 euros in my country) and the

HP 15 AF001-nv (A8 7410,8GB ram,1Tb,r5 m330 for 500 euros).

Which one would you suggest?

No, not true at all.

Sure it is true.

Linus compares 980 to 980m to just give you one example.

You won't be able to do any real gaming on any of those since they don't even have a discrete graficscard.

He didn't say comparing a 980 to a 980M, but laptops don't run like shit, yes they cost more but you can get some pretty decent performing laptops out there that perform better than some peoples desktops...

Id say save up to get a budget of atleast 1K so you can get a dedicated GPU.

Obviously the mobile version of a GPU isn't going to run on par with the full desktop card. Thanks for stating the obvious.

The notion that all laptops run like shit is completely false and a very ignorant statement to make.

TEND... he said T E N D not: " all laptops run shitty as fuck"

Well it defeated your point anyways.

EDIT: Somehting went wrong on the quotes but you will get my point.

Yes, I am pretty sure a 1k laptop runs better than a 400 bucks desktop office machine but if the cost is idenetical youare very unlikly getter similar or even better performance. If you get some special offers you might be able to push stuff but...

No, you just made a fool of yourself.  :D

I don't feal ashame about it that's why I didn't edit that farther which I definitely could have.

I am willing to go on having an argument with you but you don't seem to have any facts to back it up nor do you seem abitious enough. Instead you have to point out what I already did, that the quotes are messed up., a cause of me doing a bad job putting them together. Whatever...? Can you still understand it? -Yes. So let's go and fight over something else. Something more worthy.

He said "tend to". I think all this confusion is happening because we all have a different interpretation on what "tending to do somthing" means. Some see it stronger than others.

To explain my part, I regard "(to) tend to" as a tendency of somehting to be more like X than -X COMPARED to somehting else.

Thank you guys for all the tips and the suggestions! I ended up ordering the lenovo after I saw them both at a local store. Both were in demo mode and the HP was very warm at the bottom right side. As for the processor I read that AMD claims a major performance boost for their newest models with Windows 10 but I figured out that an already better Intel processor will be far superior with Windows 10.

Good choice, ... but don't expect to much "gaming" power ;-)
