depends a bit on your case and the rest of your components. but in your typical tower setup you should have intakes at the front (2 fans preferably) and exhaust at the back (1 fan) or maybe even an additional top fan.

It's recommended to have more intake than exhaust in order to keep a positive static pressure iside your case, it keeps dust out of your PC that would otherwise just fall inside through little rivets.

You can determine which way the air flows on your fans by looking at its both sides. the one with the frame is usually the exhaust side and the one with the blade is the intake side. Jsut mount the fans in the case accordingly.

who cares...

What I would do is put two Static Pressure fans 120mm fans up the top out taking air. 1 120mm fan out taking air in the back and airflow fan. Put 1 140mm fan in the front in taking air (Air flow fan) and put another fan at the bottom of the case 120mm fan (Airflow) intaking air

For every build I've ever done I always made sure I have positive air pressure. More fans for intake than exhaust. Make sure you filter all intake fans.
