Audio not playing in video games

My audio is not playing in my video games ( project Cars, Battlefield 3) but it works fine with firefox, google chrome , and it works with League of Legends

Are the games set to output to the correct device? I think steam is able to change what they are supposed to output to, so that may be the issue.

Origin may do the same thing. I haven't used Origin in a very long time, so I can't really tell you if Origin does the same, but I would assume that it does.

they dont show up in volume mixer anywhere

The games, or steam/origin?

lol sorry i havent responded but i fixed the problem it just needed a good reset
