So I've got 2 250GB hard drives and I want them in raid 0. The only problem is that I have is my steam games, will they go? or I have to reinstall all my games. Or just copy all the data from both hard drives and store them in my external drive? and then put them back into the raid 0?

You will have to backup your data before putting them in RAID as it wipes the drives

I think that as long as you are not wiping your boot drive, and as long as you keep the actual drive letter and file path the same when you copy your data back, you should be fine to copy the data to another drive before creating your Raid.

If you put two drives in raid that will erase or corrupt all data on them. Yes, you'll loose everything if you don't back it up.

@Abdul201588 You cannot visually tell the difference (that much) when they are in RAID 0. Windows still loads instantly for me, and you cannot get quicker than instantly.

 

But fair enough if you want to do it. Just a lot of risk and it would be a bit of effort WHEN it goes wrong.

 

NOTE: I am booting from SSD, however you have an SSD as well? Unless you want quicker game and application loading times from your 2 HDD's, which is fair enough.

Sorry, I should have mentioned this, They are mechanical drives. My OS is on my SSD. :P
