Hard drive to ssd help

Hello, i am a fairly experienced person when it comes to computer systems but i have one issue. I was wondering when i purchase my ssd, if i can format both my hard drive and my ssd then install windows on my ssd while the hard drive is still inside the computer. I don't want to clone the hard drive as it has so many files that i don't need, i just want to start again. Is this possible?

Without getting another key, I think the easiest way would be to clone your drive, then reinstall using the Windows 10 reinstall option.

no. don't do that

plug your SSD in and remove your HDD

install the OS on the SSD

put the HDD back in

Format your HDD

bam your done
