Steam Now Selling Movies

Master Disaster

It actually makes sense to see the Mad Max movie with the game bundle. It is a very cool move on their part.

That said, I don't think I'd mind much if they sold movies, however I'd prefer that they not. Anime/cartoons would make a lot more sense to start selling than movies. If I could buy Avatar: The Last Airbender or Young Justice on Steam, that would be the coolest thing ever.

There's little to no demand for anime in the U.S market, all those "fans" you see on illegal and torrenting sites don't count towards the demand count.

There's HUGE demand for a legitimate download service. May I remind you that torrenting is breaking the law, and that would be incentive enough for many to go legit if there existed a way to do it. If there was a way to legally pay for downloads, I would immediately switch to it.

The reason few people use the existing (streaming) services is because the content is split between 8-12 providers who all region block and have only a fraction of the content. Only the most gullible of consumers would have multiple subscriptions to watch everything they want to see each season.

Anime industry needs to consolidate in order to tap into the western market properly. One service, all the content. No dicking customers around.

I paid a sub on Crunchyroll exactly 1 month which is how long it took me to realize they have 0.6% of the content and region-block their own viewers.

Hell, as a Scandinavian, they don't even have 0.0000000000001% of the content. Fuck that BS.
