Was getting bad temps on my CPU so I took off the h100i to check if it made contact properly and sure enough one of the corner screws loosened quicker than the others and there was virtually no thermal paste covering a fourth of the cpu. I am going to buy new thermal paste to use now that I have removed the stock h100i paste and was hoping you can recommend me some from this site - www.netonnet.se

The one that seems to have the best reputation and quality is the Arctic Silver 5 paste.

Thanks! :)

My watercooling setup came from someone who had a core2 quad clocked to 5.0ghz stable and they used arctic silver 5. After I got it a couple months ago the paste was still "wet" and it had been running 24/7 for over 4 years. I like AS5 lol

Aftermarket thermal paste don't make a huge difference like 2-10 if your lucky

what we're your temps with the stock one? and did you let it "burn in"

I was getting very good temps when I first installed it a year and a half ago but recently the temps jumped to 80 degrees thats when I decided to take a look. Im sure it had time to burn in the past year and a half.

Well I cleaned the rad with an arisol can, but that did not fix the temps so I took off the pump to reveal the paste and it was most likely the problem. So now im gonna buy more paste to reapply it more firm this time.
