Which disk does desktop items store to?

Alright, so when I'm saving pictures and such I should just save them to a file on my E Disk instead of to my Desktop? Thanks.

Go to your user folder and go to the properties of pics, docs, desktop, download, etc. and change the location of them.

My computer only has a 64GB SSD (C Disk) solely for the purpose of running my OS. I have a 2TB E Disk that is set for my downloads to go to via Chrome so that nothing goes on my SSD. When I download a picture and save it to my desktop, does that go to my C or E Disk? This is confusing me.

I have Windows 7

Desktop items are where your My Documents, My Pictures, My Videos and all that other stuff are. Just in a different folder I think.

(So on your main drive where Windows is installed)

This. To make this save somewhere on your hard drive, use symbolic links: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/

I went into Chrome's settings and put the destination folder as a new folder I just made E:\Random Shit

I just tested this with a picture and it's set as the default folder. Thanks for the help.
