i have got a new radeon r9 270x but there is a problem. when i play some biger games like cod bo3 beta or bf3 it skips and sometimes will make my screan shut off and then red and black lines going through it and i couldnt figure out why so i did some research and im thinking that i need a cpu because its bottlenecking my graphics so i want some info on what to do or what kind of cpu i need if thats the problem... i am using a aleinwear x51 r2 everything is stock other then the graphics card so please help me

No mean to be "that guy" but your post is a bit hard to read. A bit of extra grammar is never a bad thing :)

 

What CPU do you currently have? The Area 51 has a few options.

He must have a garbage CPU if it is bottle-necking the GPU

Even if your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU, that doesn't sound normal. I'm not sure the CPU is your problem. Possible overheating issue?

An i3 4160 is the minimum I believe so he shouldn't be having problems...

Sounds to me more like a GPU problem than a CPU one.

Bottlenecking usually never usually gets so drastic that it causes artifacting and distortion, maybe it's a driver issue? Did you reinstall catalyst when you got the new card?

if i put my power to performance then it works better but it overheats and im sorry for my spelling i have a learning disability and like ive done the most i can fro keeping it cool but it wont stay cool it gets really hot but i had the same problem with my other graphics card thats whyy i got this one and it didnt happen for a long time like i could run my games a ultra and then it started doing this again and i cant figure it out
