MSI Fast Boot Problem

Hi Guys.

 

I have a MSI 990FXA Gaming motherboard using a Sandisk Ultra II SSD which is obviously ACHI mode.

 

I want to start using MSI Fast Boot on windows 10 but when enabled it tells me it cannot find an O/S.

 

Is there anyway to solve this without a reinstall of the O/S?

first, its just OS not O/S

and what's the second???

 

Just don't use Fast Boot, there is no benefit other than your system booting up faster, it doesn't give any fps in gaimz

Just don't use Fast Boot, there is no benefit other than your system booting up faster, it doesn't give any fps in gaimz

woops, Fastboot can mess up the boot order, don't use it. Sometimes the BIOS can't register drives fast enough and it will only catch one of two and such

You have a SSD so why do you need fast boot? Just don't use it, it probably just messes the boot drive orders and doesn't register the OS drive

Ok.. no one wants to be helpful today.

 

Do you have any other drive in your system? Just for testing purposes, can you unplug them, just leave your SSD.

If you don't other drives, make sure that it is connected to SATA-0 connector, and from the main SATA Controller, if there are multiple of them.

Another thing to try, is to set your boot order to the SSD first, and not something else, like your disk drive.

Unplugged the other two drives and the SSD is connected to Sata 0 on the board and still as soon as fastboot is enabled it says no O/S found.
