Malwarebytes ran the scan and found nothing

Clean Install the Windows dude.

 

I can't seem to find any possible reason for the problem.

I have a problem with my laptop were I can not install or update any of my programs.  I was downloading java from ninite.com and when it was installing i got a message saying,

 

"Waiting for another installation to finish... (MSI)"

 

It has been doing this for the past two days and does not look like it will go away on its own i cant update anything or uninstall anything.  

 

I am running an Asus Zenbook UX305 with Windows 10

 

Any help would awesome.

Restart!

I have restarted my computer 10 times already.

 

The problem is still there

Im not sure that it is an error it is just a message saying that it is "waiting for another installation to finish... (MSI)"

Have you searched through Task manager for un usual programs being run?

No nothing out of the ordinary, I have ran a virus scan several times already

Before installing Java

 

Go to task manager

 

Check if there is any "Windows Installer" process running. If so end it.

 

Then try to install. It should work.

yes and nothing that is takeing up more cpu, ram, or disk than anything else

I tried that but it just comes back as soon as I end the task

Try running ADWCleaner S/W and Malwarebytes.

 

They can eliminate somethings that are undetected by Anti-Virus SW.

try downloading java from oracle

Ok i tried that and got an error code 1618

ADWCleaner is a portable program.

 

You have to install the Malwarebytes. But it doesn't use Windows Installer. So try.
