it'll play 1080p at max settings and your fps will be greater than 60 fps, but it won't allow you to play 1440p with frame rates greater than 120 fps in most games at all times

if you want frame rates greater than 120 fps in 1440p, you need a 980 ti or x2 980's in sli or a r9 fury x

i think you need better monitors or at least get one good monitor for 1080p. if you're gaming, get a 1ms and 144 hertz monitor. here is a suggestion:

Asus VG248QE

i wouldn't get anything less than the above. 1ms and 144 hertz does make a huge difference

edit:

other than that, it's a good build for what your needs are. i wouldn't waste money on thermal paste though. the cooler will come with it pre applied

edit:

having crappy monitors for a build this good and powerful is a waste. you need better monitors

Don't bother with the fan controller. Use the motherboard fan headers and controls.

Wrong psu for G2 cable set. You need an EVGA G2 or P2 psu. EVGA 220-G2-0750-XR would be equivalent to the XFX in the OP. But if you plan to add a second gpu, something in the 900W - 1100W range would be better.

Intel 7260HMW 802.11ac Mini-PCI-Express Wi-Fi Adapter would be a better choice of WiFi adapter. It fits in the mini-PCIe slot.

Omg I can't believe I missed that it's a good thing I posted this. I'll switch the psu. But thank you both for the feedback I will look into better monitors and try to make it work under $2800.

Do you know if the ac adapter connects to a n network, I'm assuming it's backwards compatibile.

Did you have a recommendation on a good monitor under $175? Buying three of them gets expensive.

Eh sometimes the motherboard brand doesnt like allow you to change the fanspeed correct me if i'm wrong but i cannot even use a program to control my fanspeed and the bios isnt letting me too if it hits 70°c i cant turn fanspeed down.

The asus boards have amazing fan control over them, but I've seen some issues with the newer ones which is why I chose the fan controller. Also its not really necessary to have on but I like the temperature monitors that come with the NZXT Sentry's. I like to keep an eye on things. Even if it does make a mess.

The adapter supports a/b/g/n/ac, http://ark.intel.com/products/75439/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7260

It does depend on the motherboard and BIOS. The Asrock motherboard in the OP allows the setting of five fan speed/temperature points for each of the fan headers.

You might wish to post your motherboard details in a new thread asking for help. http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/46-troubleshooting/ is probably a good thread. But read the first post in http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/40334-read-before-asking-for-help/ first.
