i5 4690k

AMD 7970 reference design

8 gb ram FURY

1hdd WD green

120gb ssd samsung 850 evo

 

So i play at 1440p at every game today i try to recording gta 5 i set OBS at 1440p and when i play there is a complete lag why ?

i'm not an expert

What hardware i have to change ??

well, running 1440p on a 7970 is already pushing it, not to mention recording at the same time. I'd recommend getting a better gpu (980/ti), or toning down to 1080p and recording like that.

That rig would be better for a 1080p setup.

better, but I'd be looking at like a 980 or something if you're really set on recording/playing at 1080p at the same time.

just go 1080p

You also have really slow HDD for recording. WD Black or similar would be much better. Greens run at 5400rpm.

Which encoder are you using? x264 if yes the CPU is your problem
