How to remote to another computer?

I am building a computer for my mom who lives in another country, I want to be able to remote in and update her computer and trouble shoot.

 

How do I do this?  What software will I need?

Can I configure the computer first and than send it to her?

team viewer should do everything you want, and its easy to set up.

Just use what is built-in Windows. Windows remote assistance. Just sear for 'invite' in the search box of the Start menu, and you'll have the option.

You can both click on 'easy connect' and all she needs to do is give you a side being displayed on her side.

Safe, secure, and works great on slow connections.

LogmeIn is another good one, I use it to log into a computer that is in Dublin Ireland, Im in Atlanta. Easy setup.
