MSI 60FPS CAP?!

Go to solution Solved by ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Disable vSync in-game. vSync setting could also be enabled in your GPU control center. Not very familiar with AMD GPUs anymore.

So basiclly all the games im playing are capped at 60fps.

could it be the fact im using a 720p tv for a monitor?

is a game setting?

is it software within the gpu?

im using the msi r9 390 gaming. (also a i5 4690k if that matters.)

please let me know how to unlock it or if i should wait to do so when i get a new monitor

thanks!

(i am about to get a real monitor in a few weeks for those who laughed at the 720p tv)

Is this only from one game?

The monitor may be capped at 60FPS

its probably software, even if a display can't display higher than 60fps the computer can still output higher than 60fps, and benchmarks or an fps counter will show that.

I'd check to make sure the game doesn't have V-sync turned on, that will cap @ 60fps, or that msi-afterburner if you have it installed isn't capping you either.
