My office rig

So recently i decided that i need a new office computer and here's what i came up with. 

 

Specifications: 

 

  • CPU                AMD FX-9590 (4.7GHz) Turbo up to 5.0Ghz
  • MB                  ASUS  CROSSHAIR V FORUMLA-Z
  • RAM               32GB | 2x Crucial 16GB kit (8GBx2) DDR3 Ballistix Sport
  • GPU                2 x ASUS Radeon R9 x280 DirectCU II (R9280X-DC2T-3GD5) [Crossfired]
  • Case               NZXT H440 Red/black
  • Storage           120GB Samsung EVO 840 SSD, 2x WD RED 3TB
  • PSU                Seasonic X-1250W
  • Display(s)       2x ASUS VG248QE monitors
  • Cooling           CPU: Enermax ELC-LMR120S-BS Liqmax II // GPU: Stock 
  • Keyboard       Steelseries APEX
  • Mouse            Steelseries Rival
  • Sound             Motherboard / Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 + Steelseries Sibera V2 headphones.
  • OS                  Windows 8.1 Pro x64 <--- No arrr!
  • Other crap      5x BitFenix fans , 3x NZXT fans.

Why AMD... Also why 280x crossfired for office use? What kind of office is this!? :P

1. Get an FX-8320. Saves you over $120 right there.

2. Try getting an i5 or a Xeon with the money saved if you don't want the 8320.

3. Get a 290X or a 390.

4. What kind of office computer are you running? Why do you need two Red drives?

Top kek. That is what I have in my system. If I had my PC at work I don't see how I could get shit done.  :D

Looks like you are building the rig for Gaming?

 

Get i5 4460, MultiThreading for office use.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

I just started getting the hardware from business partners, that i have deals with. 

I spent 1400€ on the rig. (Keep in mind i get special discounts)

Definitely get an Intel based rig.

 

They are best imo for office use and Gaming.

and get an i5 4690k and ONLY 8GB's of ram!!!

I put in the two Red drives because i didn't need them on my file server, so they were just laying in the box they got shipped with and this computer has to run for 24/7, so i thought why not.

Technically, 280x in crossfire is more powerful than say a 970. But you might as well get newer technology. I recommend a 390.

But perfect scaling doesn't exist and Crossfire or SLI is NOT ideal.
