Error 497 when downloading apps on android

Hi all,

 

I'm having some issues with updating some apps on my Galaxy Nexus and my Nexus 7

 

i tried updating but error 497 comes up, and the the updates dont install

 

I've tried removing my google account and readding it, no luck

 

removing/readding wifi didnt help

 

nor did removing data for google services framework/play store/ dowload manager.

 

any ideas as how i can fix this issue??

 

i could download any random app from the playstore, but i cant update the apps that need updating

In the manage apps screen find the all tab, which lists all apps on the phone. Scroll through the list and find Google play store, and tap on it. Then tap clear data. Confirm, then return to the all apps list. Next find Google play services and tap on it, and clear the data for that app also. Now return to your home screen by pressing home and try to access the play store and download an app again.

If this doesn't work, go back to the manage apps screen and uninstall Google play services, and uninstall updates for the play store and try one more time.

a quick google search for "error 497" probably wouldve been faster.

 

android is the most popular mobile OS so if something happens google usually has the answer for it.

so this morning , i tried updating the apps, and they did so with issue
