Power Question on HAWK!

Will a GS700 power two GTX 760 HAWKS? I have an SSD and a HDD and an overclock of 4.4 with 1.28 V

Nice, You have to take pictures with them installed. I've been honestly thinking about finding someone to trade me one for my MSI tf 7950 that is brand new even though the 760 is a slower card.

How are those 6-Pin to 8-Pin adapters that they include in many card packaging? Would a configuration such as: 

2(Molex) to 6-Pin to 8-Pin work for a GTX 760?

hm...i dont know how stable molex to 8pin so i would do any heavy OC but you can but a 6 pin in a 8pin slot and run it i think

with each new adapter/connection you loose power and stability. one extension is enough i dont know about 2 different adapters.

I have revised my plans and thought of 2x Molex to one 8-Pin PCIe. I read it is used alot so i might go with that once i SLI

The two extra wires going from a 6-pin PCI to an 8-pin are both grounds.

 

Depending on the quality of your powersupply you shouldn't be risking anything using adapters.

 

You could convert the 4-pin molexs to an 8 pin if you wanted but, it would all depend on the quality of your 12v rail.

 

If your power supply does not have 4 6+2 PCI connectors as others have stated your probably better off buying a new PSU.

 

You could make your current one work but you may be drawing too much amps on the 12v rail and run into problems.

Go check out the review over at legitreviews. The 760 HAWK is an absolute monster. They got almost 1400Mhz on the core which is absolutely ridiculous.
