Why do you need 6 cores opposed to something like 4 cores and 8 threads

Jezus, what's with the Xeon when somebody wants a 6 core.. also a 3.4Ghz is shit and non-overclockable

He never stated what he needed it for. Why would I get him a 5820K if it's not gonna pose a benefit?

I typically don't argue with a users request, Even if they want a AMD CPU Even though an i3 will beat p-much any AMD CPU. Unless I KNOW I can swing them, But if they want a 6-Core so be it.

Because he asks for it. Customer is king. Xeons are crap I mean 3.4Ghz??? When a 4690k or 6600K does 4.5-4.7Ghz overclock at the same price?

You can't possibly be that oblivious that the Xeon has hyperthreading. That's what I was going for.

Eh.... I would say they would exchange blows pretty much..

And more compute performance, so unless you want to play batman arkham knight, you should be fine.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

6600k is overpriced shit when some overclock to the same level as a 6700k?

OP wanted a 6 core, so 5820K is only option anyways

The whole 6000 series is overpriced. Honestly, DDR4 and that type of CPU isn't even worth to get at the mainstream level. I'd still take a 4790K at this point.

Also would help of the OP would give a use...

Finally...

Buying a 4790k is like buying a Samsung S5.

4790K: € 351,80

6700K: € 361,79

DDR3 @ 2400Mhz: € 101,60

DDR4: @ 2400Mhz: € 114,46

So yeah... but still no 6 cores.

Good to see DDR4 come down in price. Havent really been keeping my eye on the market.

Whatevs... There isn't really a performance difference. Also, S5 vs the S6 was such a huge performance jump it was basically double... Next time use that analogy on a GPU refresh. ●ᴥ●
