Question about Game discs

Go to solution Solved by HoiDaniel,

You can buy the disks second-hand and activate it with your own key, of course.

However, the speed that the disk can transfer to your HDD/SSD may be very slow also. For me, downloading is 1,5 faster than using a disk. (BF4)

I don't really have the patience to install large games anymore (Battlefield, GTA V, etc..) And it's really annoying leaving my PC on all night to download like 25 gigs--which is bandwith hog. So I am thinking about turning physical game discs to directly install the game to my PC. So, if I buy a used Battlefield 3 installation disc, and I already have the game owned on my Origin account, will I be able to play without requiring another key to get the game?

If the game is already installed and you decided to remove it and then reinstall it, all you need to do is reinstall, no code required as its already activated.

Mine isn't too bad, I mean at least it isn't 1/kbps, and capable enough of playing all games, but I only get like 3/mbps download :/

Are we talking same thing :P I mean 80Mbps as in 9.5MB/s, it's only £27 which is €36 a month.

the key is tied to your account

if you buy a disc in a store and you already have the game activated, you just wasted money for quicker install ,lol

and i think BF3 can only be installed off the internet (origin), when i bought a disc of BF3 , it installed it off origin

50Mb/s 31€ here, optic fibre

and its only 17€ for the first 5 months (for the isp i have)

for 200 € you can get 300 Mb/s for my isp xD

and keep in mind that if you have regular copper cables, for the same speed as fibre, youre going to pay more

damn even a 3G modem is faster than your internet! (10Mb/s)
